Workshop with Vijay Kumar
May 31 – June 2, 2019
Vijay has received the practice of yoga at a young age and has been a sincere practitioner of its principles ever since. He completed the four sequences of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga. Eventually, he was initiated into Meditation, which is the main practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Dhyana, meditation is the practice, and Samadhi, evenness of mind is its result.
One of the great thinkers once said when asked “Who are you?” to which the reply was “That is what I am thinking”. This quest has been the road to walk, the practice for him, to reveal its path. Vijay realises that Yoga is a practice of befriending our mind, so that life can be in peace, and living can be at ease.
A practitioner must remember to not to be proud of their ability to perform asanas or be disappointed for being unable to do an Asana, because there is no Absolute truth in Asanas, what is possible today may not be possible later, and what is not possible today can be possible later. Change is the only constant in here including our own bodies, our main focus must be in realising that which never changes, our self.
The weekend workshop is suitable for anyone, beginners up to advanced level practitioners, and a motivation to learn.
